Исполнительный секретариат Конвенции о биологическом разнообразии (КБР) приглашает правительственных экспертов и другие заинтересованные стороны к участию в интернет-форуме по участию общественности относительно живых модифицированных организмов (организм с измененным геномом) на http://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2014/ntf-2014-047-bs-en.pdf?dowload

Пожалуйста, обратите внимание, что форум, уделяя особое внимание методам привлечения общественности, он начинается 28 апреля и закончится 9 мая 2014 года и его результаты будут включены в качестве справочного документа, на рассмотрение Конференции Сторон, действующей в качестве совещания Сторон Картахенского протокола по биобезопасности ( КС-СС 8) .

Мы рады сообщить Вам, что Орхусская конвенция участвует в качестве основного партнера в этой инициативе и Сторон Конвенции и Протокола, а также всем соответствующим заинтересованным сторонам настоятельно рекомендуется назначать лиц, ответственных за  содействие участия общественности в форуме.

We would like to draw your attention to the recent invitation from the Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) for government experts and other relevant stakeholders to participate in an online forum on public participation concerning living modified organisms (LMOs) from http://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2014/ntf-2014-047-bs-en.pdf?dowload

Kindly note that the forum, focusing on techniques for engaging the public, will commence on 28 April and end on 9 May 2014 and its outcomes will be incorporated in a background document that will be submitted to the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (COP-MOP 8).  

We are pleased to inform you that the Aarhus Convention is participating as a core partner in this initiative and Parties to the Convention and the Protocol as well as all relevant stakeholders are strongly encouraged to nominate individuals involved in, or responsible for, promoting public participation to participate in the forum.
 
Please follow the below steps to register and participate in the forum:
 
1.         To participate you need to be a registered BCH user. If you are not yet a registered BCH user, please create a BCH account at                        
        https://bch.cbd.int/member/signup/general.shtml  
       
 
2.         Governments and relevant stakeholders are invited to nominate individuals involved in, or responsible for, promoting public participation to participate in the         Forum

 
3.          Nominations should be sent to secretariat@cbd.int or ulrika.nilsson@cbd.int and andrew.bowers@cbd.int
