|Terms of Reference||Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representation Office in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Forestry Expert will be responsible for the implementation of Innovative management and rehabilitation practices to enhance carbon stocks in dryland forest demonstrated and the professional backstopping of all aspects of sustainable forest management. This includes the day-to-day management of project activities in cooperation with the field offices and other staff and consultants of the project, the State Forest Authority of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the local Leskhoz and other partners.|
The Forestry Expert will report to the NPM for all of the project’s substantive and administrative issues.
Provide professional input for the improvement of the legal and institutional framework in forestry for integrating SFM principles and practices into national and local level land use plans.
