ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN WATER RESOURCES, PROGRAM OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
The Environmental Management and Sustainable Development program invites applications for a faculty position in water resources, American University of Central Asia with a start date of August 20, 2016.
Responsibilities: teach a range of undergraduate courses related to water resources (IWRM), focusing on surface water and freshwater systems, and other multiple uses of water for meeting human needs; engage in scholarship and research that complements existing faculty research and teaching; advise and provide service to the Environmental Management and Sustainable Development program, Science Division, and university; and contribute to the program’s community outreach efforts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD or MSc; general knowledge of water resources (IWRM), focusing on surface water and freshwater resources and multiple uses for meeting human needs in modern society.
Language: English, writing-excellent, reading-excellent, speaking-fluent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: PhD or MSc preferred that was completed in water resources or related environmental field. West countries university diploma or certificate is desirable. Evidence of the ability to conduct student-centered teaching, to establish scholarship and research program, and to show commitment to community outreach that complements the culture of the department.
