This free self-paced e-learning course covers 6 modules including climate science, policy, adaptation, mitigation, finance and planning. It provides 10-12 hours of interactive learning and uses a mix of different approaches including visuals, explanatory text, videos, and quiz questions.  Learners receive a certificate once they have completed and successfully passed all 6 modules. It also comes with downloadable PPT based versions if you want to use it as an instructional tool. The course has been developed and peer-reviewed through UN CC:Learn, a One UN partnership involving 33 organizations.

The Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) and the Karaganda Economic University invite young researchers from the Central Asia and Caucasus region with a demon-strated scientific interest in environmental policy topics to participate in a two-week Summer School on Environmental Economics. Basic knowledge of microeconomics is recommended.

The Summer School addresses objectives and instruments of environmental policy in general and its links to questions of energy supply and climate policy at the global and regional level. Two additional empirical modules show how environmental data can be analyzed by applying econometric tools and how environmental policy instruments act in a computable general equilibrium (CGE) model. A training module on scientific writing in economics and the dis-cussion of participants´ presentations helps to improve scientific soft skills of the participants.
