О тренинге
Тренинг «Изменение климата и конфликты» предоставит участникам всестороннее представление о влиянии изменения климата на Центральноазиатский регион с особым акцентом на общественные конфлиы. Центральная Азия является одним из наиболее уязвимых к изменению климата регионов мира. Обучение будет сочетать академические занятия в области изучения конфликтов, что даст участникам возможность выявить и проанализировать потенциальные конфликты, возникающие в результате воздействия изменения климата в контексте их страны и региона в целом. Методологический подход тренинга будет включать симуляционную игру, посвященную инклюзивным процессам принятия решений при планировании и выполнении мер по адаптации и смягчению последствий в пострадавших районах.

Trainers and organizers
The OSCE Academy in Bishkek is a public foundation that promotes regional cooperation, conflict prevention, and good governance in wider Central Asia through postgraduate education, professional training, and intellectual exchange. The Academy offers MA degree programs in Economic Governance and Development and Politics and Security provides experts training and conducts demand-driven research.
CRISP is an organization based in Berlin, Germany. It is one of the few organizations worldwide that develops and applies the method of simulation-gaming to the fields of conflict transformation, civic education, and citizen participation. Geographical areas of intervention are the South Caucasus, Ukraine, Central Asia, the Western Balkans, MENA Region, and the EU. More information: www.crisp-berlin.org
Oliver Wiechmann is working as an international consultant, trainer, and project manager at CRISP. Apart from coordinating long-term projects in the field of conflict transformation and civic participation he regularly holds training seminars for governmental and non-governmental institutions, including the German Federal Foreign Office, OSCE, or GIZ. He is a board member of the German Platform for Civic Conflict Transformation.
Dr. Rahat Sabyrbekov received his PhD from School of Economics and Business at Norwegian University of Life Sciences. He obtained his Master’s degree from University of Birmingham, the United Kingdom. Rahat served as an author for Intergovernmental Platform for Ecosystem Services and Biodiversity Assessment Report. Rahat’s research interests include environmental economics, ecosystem services, natural capital, and natural resource management. Dr. Sabyrbekov teaches Economics and Sustainable Management of Mineral Resources course at the OSCE Academy.

Eligibility
— Junior and mid-level professionals from civil society, NGOs, and governmental organizations from five Central Asian republics, Afghanistan and Mongolia;
— Researchers, activists, and experts from these countries are also eligible to apply;
— Completed BA or MA degree in Social Sciences or other related fields;
— Be motivated and ready to dedicate 4 full days to intensive training (attending lectures, participating in all assignments in mornings, afternoons, and some evenings).

a short 2-minute video of yourself recounting a conflict situation you encountered and what you did to resolve it.
Please note that we ONLY accept full applications submitted before the deadline.
Selection and timeline
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the end of August 2022.
Selected participants are required to fully attend the program, complete all training activities and make tangible progress during the training.
